SENATOR SAMUEL ANYANWU
From Max Chuks, Owerri.
The Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Imo
State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has declared that the Imo State
Government House, otherwise called “Douglas House “is unoccupied,
thereby restating the illegitimacy of Chief Hope Uzodimma, whose
controversial declaration as governor of Imo State in 2020 caused
ripples that are yet to settle across the country.
Anyanwu made this statement in his final remarks during a highly
successful and well attended inauguration of the governorship
campaign council of the Party, tagged, Rainbow Coalition Campaign
Council, comprises of critical leaders from different political blocs
across the State, including; the Rescue Mission led by former governor
Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Grassroots Development Forum(GDF) owned
by Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, Divine Mandate Organization, owned by
Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, and other major political blocs
and Parties.
The Secretary of the Campaign Council is the immediate past State
Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chief Marshal Okoroafor
Anyanwu. The Director-general of the validation organization, Hon.
Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, who was unavoidably absent at the
inauguration sent his good will message to members of the council and
the Party, assuring them of total victory for the PDP in the forth- coming
governorship election.
Hon. Ikenga, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Petroleum
Resources (Downstream Sector) expresses confidence in the chances of
the PDP to wrestle power from Hope Uzodimma, whom he describes
as” an incompetent and insecure individual, who has no business being
in leadership position”.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Party in the State, Chief Charles
Ugwuh thanked members of the Party for their consistent show of faith
in piloting the affairs of the Party and assured that the Party is on a
good footing for victory in the coming election.
He appealed to members of the Party who might still harbor some
grievances to return to the Party and help her retrieve power from the
“anti-people administration currently holding the State to ransom
through bad governance”.
A key feature of the inauguration was the presentation of a report by
the Party’s Reconciliation Committee headed by Chief Hon. Bonny Ebili.
Chief Ebili in his speech assured that the candidature of Senator Samuel
Anyanwu shall guarantee easy victory for the Party at the polls as well
as restoring Imo to a path of progress, prosperity and peace.
He implored the Chairman of the Party and the State Working
Committee to ensure the implementation of the recommendations of
his committee, to further enhance the cohesion existing in the Party
before the election.
Senator Sam Daddy Anyanwu also reassured members of the Party and
all Imolites that he shall run an all-inclusive administration when
elected as governor on the 11
th of November.
The governorship hopeful reiterated his call for Imolites to come out in
masse and cast their votes, as machineries have been put in place to
ensure that every vote counts, and any attempt to subvert the will of
Imo people shall be vehemently resisted.
