The President of Olu-Owerri, a social cultural organization, High Chief Martin Opara said that the organization is poised for achieving the governorship bid of the zone hence ending the political marginalization of the zone.
In a communique signed and adopted at the end of the organization’s meeting held recently in Owerri, High Chief Opara expressed gratitude to Leaders and people of Owerri zone who have remained on the side of truth by speaking up without fear or contradiction.
He was optimistic that the zone would emerge victorious in the up-coming election to produce the next governor of the state on November 11th 2023.
In a speech during the meeting, a prominent son and leader of the zone Chief Sir, Mike Ahamba [SAN] said that the people of Owerri zone should have a united and common cause that would guarantee victory in the November 11 Guber election.
Chief Ahamba charged the people of the zone and Imolites in general to vote for Owerri zone in order to record roboust development if their votes were not wasted.
The Olu-Owerri meeting was the 5thedition of the Egbu Declaration with the theme “Owerri Ekweghi-Nmegbu.”
The meeting witnessed the attendance of Owerri zonal stakeholders and governorship candidates from Owerri zone.
The Governorship Candidates include Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu of PDP, Chief Tony Ejiogu of APGA, Hon. Kemdi Opara of YPP, Dr. Kachi Nwoga of ADP.
