ALGON 2010 adopts Uzodimma for second term

The Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON 2010 Imo state chapter has adopted Governor Hope Uzodimma as their sole candidate for the upcoming November 11th governorship election in Imo state.

The event held at APC office Okigwe road Owerri weekend attracted all the members of the association in 2010, including local government Chairman, Vice chairmen, Councillors, Supervisors, etc.

Speaking, the chairman of the occasion who was the Okigwe LGA chairman in 2010, Chief Charles Ezekwe thanked God for keeping them alive till now. He said ALGON 2010 is supporting Governor Hope Uzodimma because he has done well. He reconstructed Okigwe road, Owerri/ Mbaise road and Orlu road, adding that before now you will be delayed for hours on hold-up on those roads but for now the roads are motorable. ” I cannot because am a PDP man support a bad candidate,” he noted.

Chief Barr Enyinnaya Onuegbu the Chief Political Adviser to the governor and 2010 ALGON secretary said it is through the ALGON structure they rose to become what they are today through Governor Hope Uzodimma and the governor still sees them as the authentic chairmen of the LGAs. He appealed to the group to support Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election bid in November 11th because of his achievements so far and his support for ALGON 2010 through out their trial periods.

Chief Mrs Ruby Emele the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs and the chairman of ALGON 2010 said she appreciated God and the governor of Imo state for appointing members of the ALGON 2010 family into his government. ” We have him as our father and we are his children, our hope is in him,” she noted.

” We must approach this election as our own so we can get to our promise land. He had done well in infrastructures and human capital development, he has been very gender friendly by appointing women into his government and making a woman the deputy governorship candidate of the November 2023 governorship election, and we will appreciate him with our votes,” she stated.

” Rekindle your political prowess and win the grass root for Hope,” Emele urged them.
