A noble woman and the Chief Executive Officer of DAJ Continental hotel, Omuma, Eziada Loveth Eleghasim nee Uzodinma has said her hotel DAJ Continental hotel has facilities that guarantee comfort and reliability.
She stated this while interacting with Newsmen during the Iri ji Omuma celebration which held at the Omuma Central School, on Saturday, 7th October, 2023.
Adaji Uzodinma, a quientisential daughter of the Uzodinma royal dynasty said her hotel which is the first of its kind in Omuma ancient kingdom is well equipped with swimming pools, conference halls for weddings and burial ceremonies, lounge and enough lodging rooms for comfort and relaxation. It has enough security apparatus too.
She noted that since her brother, Governor Hope Uzodinma assumed office, Omuma ancient kingdom comprising of four autonomous communities has not held Iri ji festival because of one community that had not allowed peace to reign; adding that she is happy that peace has been restored. “Everybody has come together to celebrate the new yam, it is progress for Omuma ancient kingdom”, she stated.
“Since the inception of Omuma community there was no hotel but it came to my mind to build an hotel because if strangers come here, they would go to Owerri to lodge that has not augured well with me. I decided to build an hotel so that such dignitaries will have a place to lodge whenever they come to Omuma.”
She said: “My hotel is well patronized, people find comfort here, events take place here. It is well equipped.”
Eziada emphasized that his brother, Governor Hope Uzodinma is doing very well and has developed Omuma town, that is why they want him for second term. ” My brother loves people, he gives to everyone accordingly what is due to him or her no matter where you come from. She calls on all Imo electorates to come out enmasse to vote for him on November 11th 2023.
Chief Sir Oliver Nwagbaraoso JP, the deputy President General Omuma Central Union O.C.U said the Iri ji Omuma celebration was a memorable one and thanked God that the Executive Governor of Imo state Distinguished Sen Hope Odidika Uzodinma is a bona fide son of Omuma. Adding that Governor Hope Uzodinma made this year’s Iri ji a memorable one by inviting dignitaries across the nation.” This year’s Iri ji is peculiar because all the four autonomous communities reconciled and came together to celebrate it.
“Concerning the governor’s second term, the governor should be returned, he loves people, had built bridges across the nations and the states. He has done alot, and has the capacity to rule Nigeria. His second tenure is a work over, he stated.”
The Governor who was present thanked God for answering the prayers of Omuma people by my making him the governor and for restoring peace and unity in the land of Omuma. He promised to work with the leadership of the Omuma Central Union led Chief Kenneth Okafor in bringing development to his people.
The four autonomous communities in Omuma were involved in this year’s Iri ji Omuma celebration. They Ezes are HRH Eze GOB Okaforanyanwu Igwe 1 of Etiti Omuma, HRH Eze Philip Uzodinma, Ononenyi 1 of Ozuh Omuma, HRH Eze T.O. Ukachukwu, Ezejiofor 1 of Abia Omuma, and Eze Clement Okonkwo, Ezeugo 1 of Umuhu Omuma.
All the political appointees of the Uzodinma administration including the deputy governor of the state Prof Placid Njoku and deputy governorship candidate, Lady Chinyere Ekomaro were visibly present to honour the event.
